Once upon a time, a little girl was born into a happy family. She has 2 sisters who are much older than her. As the apple of her family’s eye, she is very much loved by everyone. She led a happy and carefree childhood, which allowed her to pursue her interests and meet eventually meet the love of her life.
Yes, that’s me! I am Perrine.
Besides being a daughter, sister and young aunt, I am a wife and a newly-promoted mother. I enjoy cooking for my loved ones and bringing them for overseas trips. Despite having a young child to care for, my dream to travel the world does not end. Instead, I have categorized my list of countries into ‘scenic’, ‘kids-friendly’, ‘romantic’ etc… just so I could continue to plan holidays that would cater to the family’s changing needs. I also have a scratch-off world map stuck visibly on the wall in my living room. And 1 day, I shall scratch-em all off…
I am a trained Social Worker and Senior Trainer. My interests lies in working with youths and vulnerable children. Some may say, caring for a child should not be a problem for me then. Are you serious?! Of course NOT! Things are different when you are caring for your own child. There are so so much more things to worry about! Nonetheless, being a Mummy is the most challenging yet rewarding role that I believe no money can buy.
All my life, I considered myself lucky. I having a loving family, a super-duper doting hubby whom I met at Uni and blessed with a daughter. Also, glad to say, I seem to have quite some luck in lucky draws!! What more can I ask for?!
Since I went on a self-drive trip with my hubby (then boyfriend) years ago, I fell in love with the planning, freedom and OTOT-pace of such holidays. Since then, I bade goodbye to packaged tours. And apart from watching my favourite Andy Lau and Jacky Cheung concerts on Youtube again and again and again like a broken recorder, and daydreaming about my holidays, I like to share about my trips with others!
I started this blog during my maternity leave to share my experiences and itineraries of places I have visited thus far, both in Singapore and around the world. Don’t get me wrong, maternity leave is not the most relaxing period. But daydreaming and thinking back about my holidays was a good respite. Some of the features of my holidays include: staying at unique accommodations (I try), finding good deals as well as some outdoor-ish adrenaline-pumping activities (as much as possible)! Through this, I look forward to exchanging ideas with like-minded individuals like you. Welcome to my site!
