Today’s a cruise day. It means we will just be in the sea! We had slept well the night before. So, it was time for us to try out the various activities and other free restaurants/cafes! Using the cruise planner app, we had already booked several activities ahead. This app makes planning our time for activities and shows really convenient!
With a free morning, we decided to head out for a swim with baby after having our breakfast at another cafe at the bow of the ship. However, we learnt that it was choppier at the bow. Maybe my body was not yet used to it, but I really did not have much appetite that morning because I was just swaying too much. I had to take a motion sickness pill!
This morning, we knew that the bumper cars were in operation and hence we decided to head for it straight after breakfast! As it was still early, the queue was short. We went 2 rounds back to back while my dad took care of baby. This bumper car arena can also be transferred to basketball court and laser tag area!

Hubby and I then decided to bring baby for a swim. However, babies in diapers were not allowed in any of the pools, even the kids pool. So, we were not able to let her float around in the water, despite having brought our float and the air pump… Sad. Even with her swim diapers, she was only allowed in the dip pool, which was only ankle-dip. What?!

We could only play here

The cruise also had kids area where parents could leave their children under the care of staff. There are different areas for kids of different age groups. Of course, we had no intention of leaving our baby there. Our idea of holiday includes our baby!
Apart from the big activities such as the Flowrider, iFly, rock wall etc, there were other games going on at different hours every day. That afternoon, we decided to go for a round of Bingo game! We played Bingo at other events before, usually with elderly at the elderly centres and winning prizes. So, that was actually my first time playing Bingo with real money involved! We were not lucky enough to win it though!
Another highlight on the cruise was the North Star. It is a capsule-like cabin that can be raised up to give a good view of the cruise from above and the surrounding water! As baby was not allowed on board, my parents and us took turns to board the North Star. The cabin moves very slowly. So, it was not scary at all, unless you’re afraid of heights! And because we were in the open sea, all we saw around us was water! Of course, it also gave us very good view of the cruise from above.
We also took some time to explore deck 15, the highest deck. That’s where the gym was located. There is also a running track around the deck 15. So once in awhile, there would be running running past us! Before we realised it, it was time for dinner (food again?!). Yes, we had to go for an early dinner in order to catch a show tonight. So, we made do with the buffet line which was fast and easy.
The Starwater is one of the shows on board which required prior reservation. I could see why. It was held in 1 of the smaller cafes so less seats were available compared to the main theatre. The songs, sound effect and dances were good! And I’m so glad baby managed to sleep through the shows despite the loud music! That allowed us to catch many of the shows at night!
Tonight was also the Captain’s night, meaning we were supposed to dress up for the event. We tried to. But because we went for the performances instead of the cocktail, we missed the Captain’s speech actually. Many other guests really dressed up for it too. It was really beautiful!

My parents volunteered to help care for baby for the night. So after we settled her in, hubby and I decided to go for a dip in the Jacuzzi pool which was opened for 24hours! We also took our time to play at the arcade and laze on 1 of the many chairs on the uppermost deck. It was breezy and good. We watched some funny videos screened at the outdoor screen before ending our night!
