Last day at Perth! We had up till lunch time to do some last-minute exploring. Hence, we visited the London Court before we checked out.
We also wanted to have a better look at the bell tower once more. So we drove there again, this time no longer in the dark! We saw many locks in front of the bell tower. Those were locks that couples write their names on before locking them on the chains. Hubby and I decided it was sufficient to keep the locks in our hearts. Locks sold at such places usually do not come cheap!
Our final stop for this trip was the Kings Park and Botanic Garden. Frankly, I know little about flora and fauna. But there were a few bridges in this park which gave good view of the city. We also found a food kiosk selling burgers. So we grabbed our share and joined the other locals on the grass patch! It was a very refreshing experience to be sitting on the grass, chewing on my burger. In Singapore, we don’t do it because it’s either too hot or the grass is too prickly!

We were very glad we brought extra bags along for this trip. Must always remember this! Most of the stuffs we bought were food and more food! Hence, hand carry was the safer option!
This was my 1st self-drive trip and I fell in love with such travel method instantly! In general, I love driving. But what I love more is the flexibility and convenience it brings about while I explore new places! We could choose to stop as and when we like, back-track our steps when we need to buy more stuffs from the previous stop etc.. It was a great choice offering us all that we like! Staying with locals even gave us the opportunity to learn their way of life and visit places that maybe only locals are more familiar with! This trip had me completely smitten with the idea of staying with locals and self-driving! Of course, all these would be incomplete without the company of my hubby! To more trips!
